Crossborders was started by Barbara B. Huwiler, a Swiss national, in 1990.  The company continues to be run by the founder together with a team of full-time, experienced professionals based in the centre of Zurich.  The emphasis has always been on providing a premium, bespoke service for a small number of international clients.

Our client base consists of blue-chip companies from a range of sectors including manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, aviation and IT; public and private financial institutions; consulting companies and high net worth individuals.  The relationship with many of our clients is longstanding and key clients have been with us since our inception.

Since 1990 Crossborders has relocated over 4’500 expatriates and their families, renovated and refurbished several local properties, advised Swiss investors on the needs of expatriates when constructing new properties in Zurich and managed furnished properties for clients.

Thanks to our standing in Zurich and solid connections with local landlords and real estate companies we can offer our clients some of the best properties on the market.  We have also developed relationships with a unique network of private landlords which gives us access to properties not readily available to the public.
